Pics & Notes of my custom exhaust

I change mufflers like some people change underwear, lol. I got tired of spending a bunch of money on muffler changes so I came up with this idea. It's not pretty , but it works
pic - 1 I had a stock female y-pipe flange put on my two favorite mufflers. 3" Borla XR-1 and 3" Flowtech Warlock bypass. Take off 2 nuts, unhook from the hanger and it's out of there.

pic - 2 I had one tail pipe run all the way out the back. I cut the long pipe and re-attached it with a band clamp so I could take it on and off. I call it my highway pipe, because it's less noisy for long trips. Each muffler has a short piece of pipe that runs to the same entry point on the highway pipe.

Pic - 3 This is the highway pipe. The highway pipe can be used with either muffler

option 1 Flowtech with no highway pipe and cap out is just plain NASTY
option 2 Borla with no highway pipe is the best sounding.
option 3 Flowtech with no highway pipe is pretty good, but has a slight rasp and quiter than the Borla.
option 4 Borla with highway pipe is quiter, but very very raspy.
option 5 Flowteck with highway pipe it very very quite with a hint of rasp.
Side Note: The borla is very sensitive to the amount of pipe after the muffler. You can see in pics 2 & 3 the second short piece welded to the end of the short pipe is about 8" long and added just the right amont of highs to the exhaust tone.
What do you Fellers think? Am I crazy in the pursuit of the perfect exhaust tone?

I also had a hooker aerochamber. THe hooker went on 3 times. the borla 4 times and the flowtech 2 times. Oh yea, I also had a 3" QTP stainless cut-out with electric accuator, lol. It only went on once.

The Borla XR-1 with approx. 3 to 3.5 feet of pipe after. Just run straight back and stop. Mount the muffler as close to the y-pipe flange as possible. That's the best so far, lol. With all the money I spent I could have purchased a Corsa. Corsa is probably the best I've heard, But I didn't want to spend the money on one the way I change my mind, lol.
