click on the link to see the pics of them, they were done by Scott Jantzer, he did a great job, if anyone is looking for a good set of heads for a good price he's the man to talk to.

I would be a little unhappy with them if that were me. They look as though they came from the junk yard and a half *** clean up job were done. Why all the rough surfaces left?

they are actually pretty clean, very smooth surfaces, the pics look shitty. if you've seen any heads from some of the other companies around (atleast the ones i've seen) they are about the same. the heads were pulled right off of an 02 6.0 motor and ported, they weren't cleaned so they don't look brand new. it's VERY obvious that they have been ported if you know what you're looking AT and looking FOR.

I see that they have been ported, but the gasket surfaces are dirty, looks like they still have oil on them. There were untouched spots around the valve guide. It looked like the valve guides weren't round anymore, but they were angled instead. That doesn;t seem like it would help flow to much to me. The exhaust gaskets still had carbon build up on them, looks like a little solvent would have taken care of them.

I would just want something cleaner looking for my money .. I guess that's what I'm getting at.

i didn't pay him to clean them, i paid him to PORT them...i'll have a local guy completely smooth the combustion chambers later around Jan. so it doesn't really matter. he did exactly what he was paid for. the valve seats are fine, they were blended for the bigger valves but otherwise left alone, i will have to have larger exhaust valve seats installed when i have the chamber work done. the valve guides are pretty angled stock and if you've ever seen a set of stock LS1/LS6 heads then you know how HUGE the area around they aren't very inducive to flow since they're HUGE and as you can see by the pictures they have been smoothed and reshaped.

Ill have to say I HAVE seen LS1/6 heads and even a 5.3 head ported out and Altho u pay him to port them and not clean them they should at least be cleaned up some not that it will hinder performance. And why dont u get all the machine work done at once. That port job just does not look the same as the ones i Have seen before just does not seem very smooth.
