Default Picked up an LS1, trying to pick a set up

Current mods: 220/218 .564/.562 114, full exhaust, 3200 stall.

I'm not sure how it will work in the truck as oppose to in an fbody. I'm looking for alot of low end tq. I'm leaning towards the TR230-224 cam maybe alittle bigger but trying to stay under .600 so I can reuse my 918s. My biggest dilema is figuring what heads to go with. I was going to send some 241s to a local porter but I could pick up a some stock 243s for less. It would be nice to hit the 400hp mark. BTW this is my dd and dont plan to track it. I have the car for that

We have common goals

I have an Ls1 in my silvy rite now with a 216/220 off the shelf comp cam and milled heads..The truck feels tons stronger than the 5.3 did but i havent towed with it yet..

I have been reading through some of PatrickG's threads on tech and have came across 2 that showed the results i was looking for..Granted they are #'s in a car but they should be pretty close to what one could see in a truck

403-rwhp-ls1-stock-exhaust-manifolds-mild-cam
baby-eps-cam-lays-down-430rwhp-415rwtq

Looking at the dyno graph the tq comes in pretty early and is alot IMO at the given rpm..Ive gone through several 6.0 dyno threads and really there about the same...

I do plan to run a spec'd cam from Patrick that is along the lines of the ones in those 2 threads along with 243 heads And my goal to is 400+ hp/tq through the transfer case :nunchuk1:

What kinda heads do you have now? And what kinda numbers/times are you seeing. After reading those threads im probably gonna get a cam specd as well. Although im probably gonna port my 241s. Im sure well acheive our goals. Is it bad if my truck puts down more hp/tq then my ms3d camaro? Lol

I have the old style 853's which kinda suck for flow compaired to the later 853's..

I was on the dyno 2 weekends ago and tuning is still in progress as you see a 10.x afr..I happend to check the air filter after we were done and it was black and covered in dirt ..The run was done in 2nd with the converter locked btw..
I think the truck has closer to 340-350 in it when the tuning is done
