Default performance upgrade 5.3

i have a 02 yukon xl have have done the following changes, installed 2 flowmaster mufflers,k&n filter and a throttle body spacer. the question i have is what should i be looking to upgrade/change. this truck is driven everyday so i`m looking for some power plus any increase in fuel savings would be an added bonus. truck alrdy ha 25k miles so i`m not worried about the warranty as i`m just about over the limit anyway.tia

take out the spacer, sell it on ebay. now, intake would help (drop ins are ok). popular choice around here is the upd. i run a afe filter with tube and it does fine. also, look for a tune. you have edit, predator, westers, hpp3 and some more. edit being (imo) the best, westers has been popular of late but i do like my predator. asp has a pulley for ya. i mean, you tell us how fast or how much performance you want and we can help. my mileage has gone up with the mods i have done, but that is keeping my foot out of the pedal. more mods normally mean lower mileage... you can understand why... by the way, welcome to the site.

thanks for the reply, what is the matter with the spacer? have i read too much hype over these?since i`m a noob here i`m not familar with all the abbreviations. is there someplace that lists what they stand for. i`m not looking to make the truck a drag machine, just looking to get about 50-100 more horses for the truck. was looking at in addition to the mods i have done waslooking at a chip and headers. Didnt realize that you can get full length headers. all i`v seen are the shorties. Is there a big different between the 2 for a mild motor buildup.this intake that you mention is there only 1 company making them or are there more. 1 last question for now,are there ignition upgrades or what i`m running is fine? i drive way too many miles to be driving a 500 hp truck. tia

not really any ignition upgrades. other than plugs and wires. ngk plugs and msd wires are both popular choices. also on the long tube headers, one of the sponsors on the right have them. arizona speed and marine and the other guy headers are among the top full length headers.
also when you do the full length, you'll end up getting true duals with an X pipe.

the spacer just hasn't shown any gain. just a lot of noise.

to get a nice gain once you have headers, a few folks are throwing in a 6.0 cam and springs. i think there talking between 20 and 30 horses.

on the abbreviations list. i am not sure if there is one or not. i have never seen one.

hope this all helps you out.
