Default Performance Questions

Hey everybody i'm new here i have a few questions.
1. What exactly is a yank TT300?

2. Is it better to get a programmer, a chip, or to have the computer sent somewhere like Nelson Tune?

3. Doesn't an underdrive pulley make all the other things such as AC and the alternator run slower?

Thanks guys.

How much is a Nelson tune?
Do you have to take the computer out or could you take it somewhere?

http://www.nelsonperformance.com/

if i understand correctly u tell nelson what type tune or what u want and he sends u a new pcm. once u get it u send him ur stock one. and u get free upgrades for the life of ur truck as long as u pay for shippin. if u live in ft worth/dallas u can drive to his shop i think? i might be wrong on this.

it's really easy will take like 10 minutes to do. Send farmtruk a pm I think that's allens screen name. Price depends on what year truck you have I believe. for my 04 it cost $495. It's very simple to do and their is 0 downtime.

I would get a Nelson tune before I get the Yank if I were you! Thats what I have done and the Nelson tune is so far the best mod I have done and it has completely changed my truck in a great way! I got a tune from him and two weeks later I got a Transgo shift kit and vette servo and he sent me a new tune to compliment those two items and it was even better than the forst one! So if I were you I would get the Transgo+vette servo and a Nelson tune and youll feel liek your driving a different truck will end up costing you $500-$600 for all of those parts and depending on the year of your truck!

Default 60 minutes down time with a Nelson install.

After you change out the PCM the truck will not start. It has to re-learn a security code. My 03 did anyway.
Changing out the PCM. Take your time and all will be good.
Disconnect the Negitive battery cable.
Remove plastic snap on PCM cover. Below the battery.
Snap out the PCM from the mount. It has a plastic and a steel clip. My steel spring clip was tight. I needed pliers.
With PCM in hand I used a cordless screw driver backing out the screws. There are 2 plugs. I screw per plug. They force the plug out of the socket as they back out. Leave the rubber seals on the plugs.
Install the tuned PCM in reverse.
Now for the re-learn of the security code.
Try to start and leave the key on when it dies. It will act like it wants to start but will not. Disable DRLs' to save battery.
Wait about 5 to 12 minutes (8 on my 03) for the security light to go out. It is a picture of a car with a pad lock going through it.
When it goes out turn key off for 20 seconds and try to start again leaving the key on. Disable the DRLs again.
Do this 4 times. On the 4th time the truck will start.
Drive the vehicle kind of aggressive for the first 100 miles looking out for pedestrians and cops. Ha!
Get a diagnostics readout tool. Borrowing someones predator programmer works.
Record the following readings @ WOT right gefore it shifts.
MAF.
All 02 sensors.
Long Term.
Spark. (It will peak a little bit before shifting and drop some just before shifting. Record the peak and the finall dropped reading)
Knock Sensor.
Submit this and how it shifts (firm enough or not) to Allen Nelson to evaluate.
By far the best money I have spent on any mod for my truck. I waisted cash on the hand held for sure.

Thanks for all the input. Could someone explain exactly what a stall converter does.
