I'd say about 280 to the wheels, which is exactly what you will get with a 6.0 stock. Add in a nice cam and you should get around 300 to the wheels. I'd say at that point you will start having some traction issues.....I know I got some with the stock 6.0. The stock 4.8 could squeel em, but the 6.0 can just burn em up

i made the mistake of buying a 07 classic scsb v6. i was assuming gas mileage would be a + and noone is mississippi had a scsb v8 at the time. it was also much cheaper to go with a v6. now i have no HP, no exhaust note, and terrible gas mileage on top of it. im not sure how much different my 07 classic is from lets say a 99 or 00 model, but i would really love to do a motor swap, from my stock 4.3 to a 5.3, ls1 is still a little steep. there is so much useful info here, but i cant put it all together. are yall saying that a 6.0 is affordable and will bolt up to my stock tranny no problem. i know i will have to replace motor mounts, get new wiring harness, and flash my computer, is that it!? has anyone done similar?
