What are you suing to seal the collector to the exhaust pipe. Have you found any tricks to get to the bolt on top its a major PITA to get all the bolts nice and tight. I just want to make sure Im not missing something easy since I pulling the headers back off for the third time.

Use about 2-3 feet of extensions to get to the back side of the top bolt with a deep socket. An open end wrench on the front of the bolt wedged between the frame rail and heat shield will hold it in place.

V-band clamps. Or are you talking about the 3-bolt flanges?

Company called Percys makes a pretty nice set of 3 bolt gaskets. I sell alot of them and guys say they work great versus their coppers that blow out.

Damn guess I should have thought about that top bolt before I welded the flanges on the collectors the other night.

Use m,ore extension. If you gotta, use 6' of extensions, that should get you out of the way of the t-case!

I have ball/socket flanges for my headers. They have never leaked in the last 3 years. You would have to cut your existing 3 bolt flange off the header though.
