Default Paxton on a 8100

I was on the net and saw a used 8100 with a paxton supercharger. The ad is real nice and goes into a lot of details like most used car ad's. It said 2003 8100 paxton super charger 87K miles.

So just wondering if any of you know anything about this set up? Seem like most people run that whipple....

Paxton makes good blowers as far as I know, very similar to Vortech. I didn't know they made one for the 8.1 though, maybe custom.

I think all I have ever seen is the whipple and kenne bell on an 8.1. Either of these will give you instant boost, where the paxton will build boost as the rpms climb.

A little info about the Paxton kit -

The Paxton supercharging system for the GM 8.1 liter vehicles blend a generous power increase with civilized road manners. You'll experience up to 120 additional horsepower, on demand, with very little effort. When you consider the ease of installation, high-quality components and on-road performance, it's easy to see why Paxton is the "asked for" brand among owners of these prestigious SUVs.

System Contents:
Novi 1200 Supercharger
Hand-held programmer
Molded inlet duct with "Paxton Supercharged" retains stock air box and MAF locations
New cast aluminum discharge ducting with bosch compressor bypass valve
Complete fuel system upgrade includes replacement injectors, fuel pump, lines, fuel management unit and wire harness
Air/water charge cooler
6-7# of boost

We've sold a few of these but I haven't received much feedback from customers.
