Default Patriot Heads

Anyone using heads from Patriot Performance? Did they give any gains? Which heads should I have them work? 5.3 or LS6? I want the LS6 but I heard I would lose too much compression. Which do you guys recomend?

How much more power or performance over stock heads?

I thought LS6 heads caused the 5.3 to lose too much compression with larger combustion chamber. Does anyone know if this is the case?

he has a 427 so it would be a little different then the 5.3. keep the stock 5.3 heads and get them P&P and and I would leave the valves alone. you could also get them milled to increase compression. call patriot and they can help you.

i say keep the stock 5.3 heads if you are planning on n/a if you are planning FI go with some 5.7 or some 6.0 heads and P and P those and i went ahead and incresed the valve size in the intake side of my heads to a 2.0 and like the results

Good idea on the choice of heads
I think you keep the 5.3 chambers for compression.
Unless your going with a larger bore??
Like one of those 402's I saw advertised on the right.
The mustang boys will be cusin' ya some more

No matter who you go with, keep the intake port small & efficient. The stock cylinder head uses a 200cc and flows app. 230cfm @ .600 valve lift. If the 205 afr's were made for a 3.8 bore & a 61cc chamber or smaller We'd be in luck.
