lol, you guys are ridiculous. i always wondered why you ( 8altng ) didn't throw in the 5.3/5.7/6.0 crank when you built your motor, i mean.. you're not turning any more r's, so what givesfor short stroke? a 5.3 is a crank away for you. i'm confused.

and josh...... wtf you want 4.8 pistons for? you want that much damn compression? ( just a guess there ) i've made some phone calls about a few things, and we needa hang out.... ******.

Loud~ I didnt do that bc I wanted to keep it a true 4.8L. I spin the engine to about 6500 right now and might go higher in the future.

well a 5.3/5.7/6.0 crank can go just as high, as well. You just trying to prove a point with the 4.8 i take it? or trying to be different?

WOW. Wher have you been for like 3 years J/K. Ya I like the fact that it is a 4.8 and it is on of the fastest trucks on this site and I love the fact that after I spank someone or they see me run I get to tell them that it is only a 4.8L. There is nothing better than the look on their face.

We had the 4.8 pistons custom made for Matt.

As for Why a 4.8? Why not?. Anybody can build a fast bigger cube motor

Slowhawk I'm just looking to raise my compression in my 5.3 . If I figured it out right the 4.8 flat tops would put me at 10.5 to 1
