Shark_g,

its hard to find a place here in the valley that will do a good job,

the pullies i took to HP AUTO, (bus 83) i was their first one they'd probably done, they took about 3 hours, funny thing is, they got the pulley out and on in under 30 minutes, but they couldent get the belts i supplied them to fit, so they were calling support and places to bring bigger belts, i finally came in and asked them if i could help, well the guys were looking at the v6 diagram trying to install the belt, but it was cheap, 35 or so dollars.. would not recomend.

Headers were put on by a place on bicentenial, they put the gaskets on backwards and fugged up my o2 sensors, so i redid the gaskets myself, they also did a **** poor job on the welds, took it somewhere else and they rewelded better.. would not reccomend

In the garage right now is a Comp cam and 2800 stall converter. In the mail are some stage 1.5 heads, now with these mods, i'm almost tempted to drive up to MTI or some reputable place to do it right, but, i also hear good things from a shop in MonteAlto, J&L Racing, i will probably try there.

I'm gonna head out to the track this frday to test the 2800 stall, come and say hi if your out there.

I had a very bad experience and heard very bad things about HP Auto and Exhoust. The shop you mentioned on Bicential, is it Nicks muffler shop? That is where i got my catback installed. They did a pretty good job with that. I heard of that shop in Monte Alto. I just can't seem to find the phone # on the book. I will probably drive over. Monte Alto is a little town of maybe <1000 pop. It should not be hard to find.

yea, your correct on the muffler shop, i guess they know their exhaust systems better than headers.. if you need help with the headers, call me, its any easy job, i should of done them in the first place.. then you can drive to any shop to get them welded.

hey, do you know of any truck guys that would like to get together to go to a dyno, i just found one here in the valley, never knew it was here, prices are fair and groups of 8 are cheaper.. like to get it before heads/cam. since i just moved to mcallen, i dont know many people.. let me know.

I noticed you are from McAllen. I am from Edinburg. I was just wondering where are you getting all you high performance mods intalled? I still have set of ASP pullies collecting dust just waiting to get installed. I am also considering some Dean Lepole headers in the near future. I just need to know of an honest and reliable place where they install everything for me. I was reading your post over at ls1.com and have to admit those are awesome times for the mods you have.

Sorry man, most of my friends drive fords and one of them a 02 Excalade, but none of them are into high performance so I don't think they would be intererint in a dyno. I am probabley getting my headers in mid Feb. I will let you know.
