somebody is makin ya bend over and take it with a grand for relocation... they throw in a bottle of KY with that price so when they break it off in ur *** it wont hurt so bad? lol

btw, the pacesetters from Byunspeed.com have the same exact coating and they're 375 shipped. im not tryin to spam advertisement here or anything, im just pointing out that they have the same coating, mine look identical from the ones you have.

they may look the same, but they are not. Jet-hot puts like 3 coats on the outside and 1 on the inside if you buy direct from them. Im sure the byunspeeds have just one or two coats on the outside, and I bet they dont have a lifetime warranty either

He was talking about the fine from DMV if you get caught with the cats moved or deleted.

i gotcha.

and about the ceramic coating, they're coated outside real nice and inside the flange/collectors. I took a knife to the end of the collector to gauge the thickness and it's about 1/16" thick ceramic coat. Thick enough for me. During the process of coating any tubular product, full coverage through the length of primaries is pretty difficult unless it's dipped into a chemical, then you can get full coverage easily.

What type of collectors are you guys going to go with when you put your Pacesetters on? Just wondering, mine should be here soon.

the collectors are welded onto the end of the primaries....

if you're referring to a pipe that goes after the headers, I used the pacesetter ORY that fits my truck

I guess I should have asked what type of flanges are you guys going to use (three bolt, v-band, etc...).

i didn't use any weld on flanges. The best deal is to use an accuseal type clamp that's a stainless steel band wrap around band clamp. I got the dynomax ones from summit that have 2 bolts for a better seal. When you weld onto the headers the ceramic coating can start to chip away.

the ORY comes with regular 2 bolt clamps which are okay for clamping mufflers and what not, but if you over tighten them they can crimp the tubing/pipe, that's why most everyone uses a clamp like the attachment or a v-band. personally I think v-bands are nice, but not really worth it unless i had a turbo setup or something

On my set up I won't be using a ORY, the 2500HD has seperate 3 inch pipe from each side, so no slip fit for me. I guess I could just butt the three inch pipe to the collector and then use a clamp and see how it will work. If that doesn't work then welding on a 3 bolt flage is my next option I guess.
