Default Pacesetters completely blown apart ???

well I've been noticing some strange sounds from my exhaust finally got to take a look under the truck and on the drivers side before the first 02 sensor there is a big ******* hole on the top part of the header just the collector .. A hole the size of about 2 golf ***** .. Wtf is going on ? How did this happen and would there be any type of warranty ?

Also I'm probably going to be ordering the cal speed 1/78 lts will I have any fitment issues with my80e ???

how was your y pipe connected to the header? band clamps? welded? u bolt stlye clamp?

my band clamp setup got loose over time causing the driver side y pipe to slip "in and out" finally wearing a hole about 2" by 3" into the y itself. i just cut it off and put 3 bolt flanges on, no issues since.

as for the calspeed headers, you are taking your chances due to their "fitment" is for the 6L80e, not the 4L80e. worst case you will have to remake the Y pipe. also their 1 7/8" version connects to 3.5" not 3" so you will have to make some of your old Y pipe fit on theirs.
