i used some ultra copper rtv and those shitty U clamps that it came with it.. the copper is supposto be good to like 700 degrees farenheight and its not leaking yet... if i were you id just get that rtv and put that **** everywheres and then clamp it.. only costs like 5 bux

Lots of lube and a rubber mallet! I have one of the older y's though. Used dynomax band clamps and split the line. Only used a U-clamp on the rear.

See if you can get clamps that are off/sized 3.25" to 3" since the header is flared. Or just take it to a shop and put ball/socket flanges on it, way better.

my driver side leaks a little with the band clamps, so im going to just get a U clamp and put it on the back side of the band clamp. I'm thinking that will fix it.

the only problem with welding is that you have to cut it back off when your tranny takes a ****..... ask me how I know.
