Running mild blower cam for a 6 liter motor I cooked up in order to help power up top (only 1 3/4 primaries and 2.5" collectors & y pipe running into single 3" pipe and Flowmaster muffler)
Old numbers were 433 hp and 480 ft lbs thru 4L60E. First pull wayyyyy off, made 345, second pull was 430, 3rd 455, kept on going up made around 480 with the cam and 535 ft lbs thru T400 steel driveshaft. Only held onto it to 6100 max because MAF was flaking out up top and it was still climbing. Think 8 psi was max I saw.
Tomorrow may strap it down and open the cutout and see if it likes it open and not thru the single blowmaster, but I think the collectors are the restriction. I forgot to open it today Maybe spray it too if I can get the MAF to stop tripping out up top.
Cam is a little wide LSA for current setup, but its put it in advanced a bit, so did good job of limiting low speed torque (same torque up to 3500 as old cam), and should help blow down cylinder on the gas. When real motor goes in I think retarding it a few degrees will be the ticket.
It spun the stock pulley, cleaned it up best I could and pinned it when I put the cam in, seems to be holding okay so far

Sounds like a sweet setup.
What kind of headers are you running?
What are the .05 specs you kooked up for the setup? Do you have access to a lot of lobes?
You could take off the exhaust system for a single run. Find your numbers. Bolt it back on. Find your numbers. Then, if you still want to use that exhaust system. With your next camshaft, just pick your v.e.s where the exhaust valve is opening a bit earlier (if you gain with an open exhaust of course). And I know, you know this
but what the hell.

Yup, my line of thinking exactly
THey are AS&M I think 1 3/4 with 2.5 collector, he had them put on by a guy in PA a while ago so Im not sure. Just kicked the exhaust valve open a bit earlier then I normally would to help with that situation and keep low speed torque down. It didnt drop like I thought, so I have it at 11.0:1 even down low to kill t and try and keep chambers cool at rpm. The stupid *** ATI intercooler setup does jack **** for this truck, even on a quick dyno blast IAT are still getting into the 140s
Its a 230/238 at .050, .575/.612. No XE or XER Comp lobes
