Default Oxygen sensor help!

I put my Pacesetter long tubes on in November 2006. I got a SES light the other day PO134. I check my scan guage and short trim bank 1 and 2 have no reading and the voltage is jumping around from 50-800. So I know that they are not working . My question is will it hurt anything to drive it like this, until I can get some new sensors? Also what would cause them to quit working, I have 68,000 miles on the truck now. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.

Does this mean that they are shot or do I need to check my connections, or just get some new ones?

make sure you are watching the correct o2's with the scanner if its jumping around then they should be working. do you have them in all the way, tightened. connections good?

I will check them this evening when I get home, maybe that's the problem sure would be a lot cheaper.
