I found the bolt in the bag for the driver’s side front along with the power steering mount bolts. So, it should go in that top side general area. The picture shows it with a larger power steering mount bolt.
It has a shallow head, 2 ½” long and has 8mm-1.25 thread. It did not have any road grime-dust on it.
NOT 2 1/2" BUT 1 1/2" CORRECTION MADE
I replaced the front right axle seal and the front right wheel hub when I had the engine out, but the bolt would not have ended up in that bag of bolts.

This is the 1st LS type engine I have pulled out so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like an Ac compressor line to Compressor bolt?
Hello,
2002, it is in my signature. I did not break open the AC lines.
Maybe it is the fuel saver bolt? Leave it out and they is less weight to haul around?
Thanks

Hello, no I left the radiator in. Removing the water pump gives just enough room to get by the rad. top piece.

Yeah I went and looked at my truck (02 5.3 Tahoe 4x4) to try to help

I thought it might be a motor mount bolt but all those are marked 10.9

I thought was the idler bolt but it's marked 8.6 (never heard of that grade before)

so I dunno what it is, but if it's working, roll with it 😂

Is this a hole here that takes a shorter bolt than the other bracket bolts?

Red face More pics

Hello,
Here are some pics of the power steering mounting and my home made fan shroud.
There are 3 bolts on top and 1 on the bottom that go in from the front. Only 2 top ones are in the photo but there are 3.
And 2 [studs with nuts] on the back side of the PS pump and 1 15mm bolt in the block for the rear bracket.
The red wire is a extra frame to block ground.
I am still looking to where to put the EXTRA BOLT! It makes me feel old, I remember that "was an odd place for a bolt, I am sure I will remember that!" WRONG!!!
All the PS bolts are in, they all have 15mm wrench size head bolts, not the 13mm I have EXTRA.
Thanks for looking and your help.
