Angry Overheating Ss

I got an 03 silverado ss that has been overheating for awhile now and I have done every f****ing thing I can think of. New water pump,160T-STAT,burping the system, fan and clutch are fine. I don't know WTF to do. The damn thing runs at 210 and above and when I get into the throttle it gets hotter. The only thing to keep the temps down a little is when I run the heat on full blast. I am not losing any coolant at all and there are no signs at all of a head gasket problem. Anybody have any ideas at all. This **** is pissing me off!

210 is normal. Above though ... that's pushing it. Is there anything in front of the radiator area behind the grill, plastic baggy, piece of paper or road debris??

WHat have you done to the truck and when did this start happening? Did you do any work on the truck just before this started happening?

Yes, I did take it to a local chevy garage and they had it for 2 weeks and it still was doing the same thing. My motor isn't really radical- I have a crane cam:216/224 551/551 lift, 1.8 ratio roller rockers, shorty headers, engine tuning,#30 injectors. Off the subject I was also wondering if maybe my #30's was a little too much for my setup but I am planning on supercharging it. The outside temps around here lately have only been in the 50's so that is plenty cool and because of this I am not using my ac at all. I sure as hell can't figure it out.

Yeah it is going over 210 which I thought was strange for running a 160 stat. I have a crane cam 216/224 551/551,1.8 ratio roller rockers, some engine tuning. I had installed the cam and rockers and stiffer valve springs that crane recommended but the dumbasses didn't send me the right retainers for the springs at first so I was driving it around anyway. Well when the right ones came in I installed them and ever since then the bitch runs hotter than it ever did before. I don't think I did anything wrong because other than running hot the truck runs like a raped ape. Nothing in front of radiator it is clear.

Does it level off just above the 210 mark? If so, that's normal. The mech fan on there still won't kick in until around 210'ish. If you really want the temps to stay down, you should go with some electric fans, make or buy a custom fan wiring harness though, cause the one with the Flex a Lite fans suck and will only go down to 180*.

195F is what my truck stays at everyday. Is you T-Stat working? Are you sure your getting coolant circulation? Is the radiator hot, is the radiator cap opening and letting excess pressure go back into the coolant tank?

Sometimes it just goes above and pretty much stays there but if I am getting on it the temp wants to go up more. It shouldn't be doing that at all with a 160 stat should it? Yeah I had the flex a lite #282 setup on there and that wasn't doing **** for me either.

I have replaced the tstat like 3 or 4 times now. The upper radiator hose is good and hot and I have also replaced the cap- before with a 160 tstat it would always run at 180 no matter what. My cam or rockerarms shouldn't be making it run hotter should it? I can feel good pressure on the top radiator hose when it's idling and when you rev the engine. It does run really strong though and the computer is not throwing any codes.

Has it been logged running overheated? Maybe the coolant temp sensor is bad and screwing with you????
