Default Overheating question

i have been having a little overheating issue with my truck. i am in my truck pretty much all day and if i sit too long (20-30 minutes) with the a/c on it starts to creap up a bit. the needle gets really close to the red marker but never actually touching it. once i start driving it the temp. quickly drops to normal. i have the 160 degree thermostat. could my thermostat be sticking or what could i do to fix this problem? thanks for the help.....

no i have had the t-stat for a couple years now. i just started to notice it since like april. i am using it on the sales route and sometimes i just sit in the parking lot with the a/c on doing work stuff and then i notice the temp is way up. i tried to do a fan swap sometime last year and ever since then i don't hear the clutch on the fan kick in when it starts to get hot. it does eventually work but not like it used to.
