Default Options for getting rid of rasp?

I love the way my magnaflow sounds, it is not too loud, but the rasp in the higher RPMs makes it sound horrible. I'm checking out Summit right now and I am looking at some 3"in/3"out 18" round case mufflers.

Is there anything else cheaper that will take care of the rasp? I know alot of guys run dynomax bullets to get rid of rasp, but do they work very well? I want a proven muffler/resonator to use that is a straight through design, and it would help if it was cheap, but I am willing to spend the money if it will work better than the cheaper products.

I've also been considering an slp loudmouth or maybe even a small borla xr-1.

I do not want it to restrict the exhaust flow at all either.

just do another muffler or a magnaflow resonator, my brothers tbss was too raspy but great sound! He added a 14" round race series magnaflow and it sounds great!

I've heard the same complaints on other boards and one solution there has been SpinTech. I havne't looked into it, but those that have switched from Magnaflow are loving it. Great sound, no rasp, no drone...

I don't want to switch mufflers or go to a chambered design (already had a flowmaster). I am happy with my magnaflows performance and its sound (even with the rasp it sounds pretty good), but I would just like to get rid of the rasp and have a smooth aggressive sound all throughout the RPM range.

My friends got one on his stock 5.3 out the back with a corsa style tip.

It sounds really good, but to me it is louder when he lets off the pedal and RPMs go down than when he is giving it gas.
