Exclamation Opinions on Pistons???

Let me know what you think about these. Any good or bad experiences that you had. Fitment issues or customer service. I am about to start my 408 build and I'm looking for a set. Also get some feedback on a good crank and rods. Will have about 750rwhp. Going to be FI with a PT81 or PT88 front mount. Still undecided. Won't be a DD. Just a little cruising on the weekends.

Default Pistons

Try http://www.wiseco.comand check out the new X Series for the LSX series. I have these in my 408, milled to 10.5 to 1. They have lite weight wrist pins with them as well.

Well...I'm no engine building expert, but I'd be looking for a piston design as close to the new ZR1 as possible. The wrist pins are outside/below the rings and I have yet to see anyone else with this feature. Of course its difficult to acheive in a stroker as the skirt ends up so short - but thats one of the main reasons I opted to stay away from a stroker in the first place. Why not just do a 427 instead? As for rods, I've always like Eagle I-beam, and they have a decent kit with rods & crank...but there are others out there equally strong. My 2 cents after many trials and tribulations...best advice I ever got: get a combination that somebody else spent all the money and time ensuring they mate well and worry most about head/valve, rocker&rod spec!
