parish if you can get that vin# removed let me know, cause I will be sending my predator back. I wouldn't mind driving to omaha for some tuning (and learning). Just tell me what I will need to get and where to get it from. I will be very happy knowing my truck is not a ticking time bomb like I feel it is now. you da man!!

No $heit. I wish i would of done it in the first place.Nothing really wrong with the predator (PCM smoker ) just not the best for someone looking to mod very heavily. The basic bolt-ons are cool, cam, headwork... things that require major tuning sucks with predator cause you have to reley on someone else to tune it for you via email.

I am very good with computers but am kinda scared about messing with my daily driver with a program that I have never used before. Plus parish8 or dropped2000 already have it and are way more experienced with it than I am.Hopefully they can help me out as my predator is going bye-bye as we speak.

hey, xlr8nss is just messing but i offer no gaurentes, with wideband tuning i don't know how i couldn't do better than a mail order tune but who knows what things could go wrong.

#1 thing is for you to monitor for KR, if there is KR you must let off or it will break, and to get the most power you will be pushing the edge of KR, thats just the way it is.

push it till it blows then rebuild and back it off a hair!! :-)

So can you get a vin open for me? If so I will ship my predator back and maybe we can tune next week or something. I would think a wideband tune would be more accurate than a email order tune. We should be able to continuously adjust to get it right and keep KR down? If it blows I will try and find a newer 6.0. Darn! might have to drive my 9.87 sec bike around then.. hehe

ok 954rr, here is the deal, i just sent carputing an email so i am not sure yet if they can free up that vin slot, even if they can free up that slot it will be a couple of weeks before i will be ready to send in that cable to get that slot opened up for you. then it will take them a week or so to get it back to me.

also have to order up some wideband stuff(cables) and get a bung welded in. so what i am saying is this wouldn't happen over night, probably take a month or so before we actualy got to dial that thing in. first step is to see what carputing says.

the past few weeks i have been busy as hell but i hope to have some free time soon and it would be fun to tune another truck, see if i really learned how to do it or not, it seemed so complicated but now that i know the basics(and have all the tools) it seems so easy. how much are one of those unlimited cables? it would be prety cool to just tune peoples cars for a living, i think i could get a car dialed in prety close in about 4 hours, including any little changes like shift points or rev limiter, charge $150-$200, use the wideband but not a dyno, have them drive me around. could be cool. hmmmmmmmm

so when you buy the ls1 edit it is only programmed to work on one vehicle only, but I can send it back to them and they can add a car? IS that right? I am going to buy it here soon but I would like to know more about it. thanks.

one car for $550 then add up to 3 more cars for $150 each. there is a $50 handeling fee but i think that is just when you send it back to them to change things. you dont need to know the vin numbers either, it locks to the vin of whatever it is you are programing the first time you do a write.
