Default Old school combo.

I had a question for you guys. I have a 2001 silverado with tha 5.3 scsb. I am wanting to put the 6.0 engine into my truck but I was curious about an old school bore and stroke combo. I was thinking about putting a 4.8 crank in tha 6.0 block. This is almost the exact specs of a gen 1 327. It would be a high reving engine but unique. everyone always goes for big cubic inches and stroker motors but I was just wondering what people would think of this combo.

I like that idea too. 8000 RPM screamer!

Mate it up with a fat converter, big cam, and forged pistons. I'd like to see the results.

I can get a brand new block for about 600. All I need is the 4.8 crank and rods, and some pistons. I could get my heads ported and polished. I was wondering if my truck would run with the stock computer until I could get it down to AMS to get it programed?
