Old school big block swap
#1
The 8.1 has a lack of aftermarket support, And I already have an ls truck which I'm leaving LS powered I'm going to get a old school 454 block do a 24x conversion on it with parts from efi connection that utilizes the ls1 style sensors and get a pro flo XT edelbrock manifold that utilizes an ls1 style map sensor and 90mm throttle body I'll order some thread adaptors for the coolant sensor and use the l29 accesory drive with a 4.3 V6 air compressor, I wanted to do something a little different for my 2nd project so I'm going to build up a 468 with some brodix red port heads and a forged rotating assembly

I also love to spend money 😂
excited to see where this goes for you! I don't know big block gens well at all, but I have helped put an 0411 on a 572 crate motor, if I can offer any wisdom, I'll try to!

This might help. This guy did a turboed 8.1L swap into a NBS. (Also has a Supercharged AWD NBS). He is a host on, I think it's TruckU.

Everything he does on that channel is something that was done here on the forum at least a decade ago.

Except for wiring in the Denali DIC on the 99-02s. The only other place I found that was on GMFullsize and they were missing the wiring diagram iirc.
