Default Okay to use 160* thermo with stock computer programming?

Well yeah, I got me an extra thermostat and tossed in a .177 BB so it will open sooner. As it is getting just a "tad" hot here in Texas I'd like to drop my underhood temps of the motor and the trans fluid.

Will there be any problems doing this with a stock computer programming? Will I still go into closed-loop?

Thanks!

I ran a 160 stat in my truck with stock programming & didn't have any problems. It was a 2000 truck
