It could be the DA. I know the crappy DA's here make a given combo slow compared to most other places in the country.

What was your 60ft and mph for both of the runs? That will tell us a lot!

Default possibly silent tire spin ??

ok,,stupid question,,,,,what is DA ?? my sixty foot times were 2.307/2.311 with 87.43/87.37 top end. 15.38/15.34 et now that im looking at the time slips. i went from 255/65-16 to 275/45-20 eagle gt 2's on centerline stingray 3 rims. what i think is happening, is now instead of spinning just one wheel to spinning both but they are spinning a quiet if that really can happen,,and/or i am not hearing it because of the adrenalin. mods are as follows

k & n drop in
3 inch exhuast through bullet
160 t stat
nelson tune
built 4l60 with servos and shift kit
yank 2600 converter
spring clamps
single cab short bed 5.3
91 octane with nos octane booster

any ideas,,,i swear i should be easy 14.5

Density and Altitude.... I ran a best of 15.09 at the track and it rained and was hot and humidity was up and the best I could squeeze out was a 15.3

Weather and things play a large part

it could be the wheels and tires. nightmarechevy gained a second on his time when he changed from factory 16' wheels to some heavy *** 18' wheels. he was running 15.2 with new mods and wheels he was running 16.3-16.4. that might help you

Stupid question here, but were both runs made at the same track?

And yes, I think that your wheel/tire combo could have a very big part in your times. Although, I don't see it making that much difference. Also, what were the temperatures that you made in the first quicker runs? Also any other variances between runs: extra weight, tailgates up/down, weight reduction, etc......

I would have to say wheel and tire! Are you hooking up if not then thats obviously the reason. How are you shift points at the track? I know when I did my 4.10's and had my a Nelson tune it took a few tunes to get the shift points down. So how are your shift points and how ais your traction? If you think both are fine then wheel and tire all the way!

Default i think i got it....your gonna laugh,,

i was mulling over this thing,,,and yes,,,i do think it is the wheels and tires..my 60's are minimum .15 seconds slower , but,,i forgot to mention a friend of mine gave me a vr insert for the throttle body,,i think im gonna take that thing out and test it out next month at the track....

as far as the shift points,,its shifting around 5400 for some reason, im gonna ask allen to up them by about 400 rpm. anyhow,,thanks guys,,,i totally forgot about that friggin thing,,,late
