Default ok guys little help with plans

ok, I am thinking about which way I should go on the vho for mods. I am thiking about doing a magnaflow muffler (2) in 2.5inch and single dumped 3inch out. also would like to do a CAI(which one) TB stall, shift kit, and tune. Does anyone have any better suggestions or what modification order would you go. the exhaust will be the first for sure but after that I jsut don't know. also what will give the best et gains out of all of these? thanks.

New guy here, been lurking for quite some time. I have a white VHO, no mods yet. A buddy of mine bought a silver birch VHO the day after I bought mine and has done some of the mods you talked about. Started with dual in/dual out Xcelerator Muffler, both tips exiting at stock location. Looks nice and sounds really good ("really good" is a subjective term, depends on what you like), not too loud even at WOT. He then went with a Street & Performance Air-Raid (I think) intake, TB spacer and coolant bypass. Don't have dyno or track numbers before/after, but as I said I have an "unmodded" (except for K&N filter) and ran 12.82 @ 83mph, 1000ft. when the truck had a little over 500 miles. My buddy ran a 12.5? at the same track with only exhaust and intake.

My plan is to start with exhaust, then intake and TB spacer/coolant bypass all followed by custom tune from PCMforless. Of course, I want it all now! But, I also have an '89 full-size GMC Jimmy 4x4 which is costing some change right now and after all the VHO is a NEW truck! Decisions, decisions.

Pocola (on the state line, borders Ft. Smith, AR). I go to Centerville, AR but want to give Tulsa Speedway a try. jdg is a fellow VHO guy and runs at Tulsa from time to time. Sallisaw (Pier 7) is a nice track, but is only 1/8 mile, went out one night, but didn't run. What part of OK are you in?

I would do some LS1 or LT1 fans and make your own intake.

The TB spacer won't do you any good. Save your money on that. Everything else looks good though.

I think he meant trailblazer stall. After having my stall, I want a higher stall. If you have any plans to go with a some what aggressive cam I would go with a larger stall. I know I mention it alot, but Ive heard the VIG 3200 rips!!

Since my truck is driven quiet a bit I really don't want to get to aggressive and will probably leave the stock cam in place atleast until warranty is up. Since I own 2 chevy's I can swap things out. Their is just no telling how far I will go with it. I want the VHO to look pretty stock but run like a bad out of hell. I would like to see it down in the 13's on just engine. has anyone tried putting smaller wheels and tires on it?

I may try that this weekend. My wife has a Suburban, I may steal her spare and throw the VHO's spare on and make a pass this weekend. Wonder how much traction will be lost. Should be able to put on one he11 of a smoke show.

I would start with a Yank TT3000. Judging from the times my truck has run, I would think that 13's N/A wouldn't be that hard. I would think that the VHO with the same mods as mine would be at least 3-4 tenths faster...if not more, and then you are right there on the doorstep of the 13's. Maybe fans, pulley, cam(I know you are against it now but there are some MILD cams that make good power in the 6.0), and maybe a custom tune instead of the HPPIII (Hypertech) that I have, and 13's are yours. Some smaller lighter wheels would also help, as I picked up 3 tenths by switching my 20's for some 17" Escalade wheels with shorter tires. What rear do you have in the VHO?
