Default Oil spinner filteration.

Has anyone ever considered running this type of oil filtration on our trucks. I see them on oil field equipment but didn't know if anyone ever thought of putting one on. Just food for thought.

Seems overkillish? Maybe it is just me. I will see where this discussion goes just out of curiosity.

Over is the name of the game on this site lol. I just know you can go longer in between oil changes and it is a better filtration system. I also wonder if anybody ever sends their oil in for analysis? It's only like 25$ and they can tell you everything about your oil which would tell you if any unusual wear was taking place.

I send my oil in for analysis every few oil changes just to keep an eye on things. Have for a long time on most of my cars. The oil I run is cheap enough I am not too worried about oil change duration, but it may be useful for people who choose more expensive oils, etc.

One of the biggest reasons for those are to get the heavy contaminates out of the oil from burning diesel (main one being soot). So on a gas engine it would do very little for it
