Default Oil/Parts question

I use Mobil-1 10W30, but in the parts store today I saw the german rated castrol syntec...5w50....would this be good to run in my truck in the summer?

Also, does anyone have a special fuel filter that they like? I was thinking of going with AC Delco like the factory does, but if there is something better, I'll use it.

stick with the Mobil 10w30 - prob the best you can find
no reason for a 50 weight oil in your truck
