I know for surer on FI setups this is an issue but I have met several people that on N/A motors found oil in the intake upon teardown. Lots of oil.

In my case, I had the opposite result. After dropping in the Stoker, I used a plunger style valve and it gummed up my catchcan and intake within 5k miles. Switched back to the fixed orifice and haven't had an issue yet.

Just go get a running 5.3 from a wrecking yard. Sounds like thousands were already wasted on this 5.3 and it's going to take more to make it run properly again for an LM7 that for all intents is worthless....
