Default Oil Fiter Adapter Spec Question

Which one fits our LS1 based motors. My guess is it is either #182 or #183 (metric), but is ours considered recessed or not? (these are perma-cool part #'s)

#182 Sandwich Oil Adapter
Fits M18x1.5 threads. Designed to fit most GM V6's.

#183 Sandwich Oil Adapter
Fits M18x1.5 threads. Designed to fit most GM V6's with recessed filter landing.

#184 Sandwich Oil Adapter
Fits 13/16"-16 thread sizes. Designed to fit most early GM 4 and 6 cylinders and Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Pontiac V8's.

#185 Sandwich Oil Adapter
Fits 13/16"-16 threads. Designed to fit most small and big block Chevy V8's with recessed filter landing.

#189 UNIVERSAL Sandwich Oil Adapter
Fits 3/4"-16, 13/16"-16, 1"-12, M18x1.5, M20x1.5 and M22x1.5 threads.

I dont think they are recessed but I'm not sure??? Those might be for the old Vortecs too so I am <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Maybe you should email them or just order all of them and send back the ones that don't fit.

Well I did find out that the correct spec is for the 13/16 - 16 th'd version. I still don't know if I should be getting the 'recessed' model or not. If I want to relocate the filter in addition to the remote cooler, then that adapter doesn't have a 'recessed' model. Maybe I'll just do that.

You do not want a recessed model. You want the style that will screw on in place of the filter. The recessed deal will work with the old chevy block.
