Could it be the alt? Truck starts fine, but when its put under a load, dies. Just a thought. Since nobody has posted yet, figured I would take a shot. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

TTT for ya if I'm way off. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I don't think it would be the MAF if it idles fine in park. If the MAF is not plugged in or not working, the truck would die after intial start up. Not too sure what the EGR Map is.

Default off topic- 92 4cyl manual S-10 question

A friend of mine at work has come to me with a problem on his truck and I thought I would post it here, because I can't think of anything else.

Here is what it does:
Starts and idles fine, but when put in gear, it dies.

He took it to his local mechanic and this is what has been done so far with no help. They say they can see fuel entering the T/B. The only thing I can think of is that there may not be enough fuel pressure. This just started all of a sudden.
Here is what has been done so far
New plugs within 6 months ago
new wires within 6 months ago
cap/rotor fine
diagnostic checkout came back with no errors
new fuel filter
new fuel pump
full tank 93 octane gas
