OE 4.5" intake assembly that accepts ls7 maf
For my off-road buggy build I am using an lq4 with the manifold reversed on the engine.
Some of the area's we wheel in are EXTREMELY dusty so i knew I wanted a good air cleaner, i did not want a K&N oil style, been there done that, but I also wanted something that I could get over the counter parts for.
Donaldson makes amazing HD and equipment filters and housings, Volant uses donaldson powercore filters in an entire aftermarket lineup of molded filters..
It just so happens 07+ duramax use a donaldson style filter.
Stock air box and intake tubes are all over ebay, your local cl, and sometimes in the salvage yard. I picked mine up for $25 shipped but your results may vary.
Anyways, they are tested at close to 700cfm with 99% efficiency, they also may be a direct bolt in.
Won't be able to do any testing, or give any SOP or dyno results. Still in suspension and chassis phase currently. Hope this can save somebody a few bucks. There are duramax guys yanking their stock stuff out all the time, maybe you got a buddy with one sitting on the shelf!?
Anyways onto the pics.

This end originally had a large surface with built in rubber edges that sealed against the fender. The fins swirl incoming dirt and throw heavy particles to the outside of the housing and later fall to a drip tube at the bottom.
