Default odd idle

Well it's been really cold here lately, and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. But anyways when I first start up my truck the idle will go way up to 2000rpms which should be normal in the cold I think.... But then it goes way down like to 500rpms and it gets rough and adventually will die unless I give it some gas... However when I do give it some gas it seems like I can't give it just a little bit I have to push and push and push a little more then the rpms will jump up to 2000 again all of a sudden then go way back down..... It will do this for a couple minutes till the engine gets a little warm

You're intake gaskets may be leaking. If you're ses light comes on with codes p0174 and p0171 you'll need to replace them.

my truck did the same thing.... it still does but not bad at all. I cleaned my Idle Air Control Valve and it helped my cold idle incredibally. My truckwould die like yours, now it will hold an idle at 1k when its cold. It is located on the throttle body, drivers side. There will be 2 sensors. It is the top one. I took the sensor out, cleaned it off with some throttle body cleaner, cleaned my throttle body a bit, and started it back up.
