How much will the sound change if you have obx headers with cats or with out

Is there a big difference in sound level with or without the cats in place I'm trying to get my tahoe a little quieter than it is now also if I run cats will it kill some of the drone

Having cats will certainly help with killing rasp, and drone. Not sure if you're already aware, but the OBX headers do not come with cats. Those little things that look like cats are actually just resonators. But they could easily be replaced by welding in some nice little hi-flow cats if you wanted them.

I know obx don't come with cats but I got to change my set its to loud how much will cats quiet down the headers to compared to now with what came from obx

they should quiet it down a good amount... high flow cats will probably have less of a quieting effect but will net better performance verse some el cheapo cats that dont flow for crap.

Why would you add cats instead of changing your muffler or adding a resonator?

I've change my muffler 3 times and either the sound isn't right or it just way to loud I was thinking to get the high flow cats and y pipe from dynatech because aren't obx header their old design aren't their card also high flow cats
