Default o2 Sensores HELP!!!

I'm installing my dynatech system.

I was following the intructions step by step.

Came to removing the stock o2 sensors, 1st one came off fine, a little tight, took some effort.

Yet the other 3 are NOT coming off. At first all 3 broke lose, a few turns, seemed be becoming easier the stopped.

I don't have a o2 socket so i was just using a open faced wrench. I'm pulling/pushing with all my might and nowhere. I took the Y pipe off with the sensors still attached, figued I could get a better go at it rather than on my back. Still no go.

What is the trick to these? I even tried clamping on a vice grip and whacking it a few times with a sledge.

Do they have to be warm when you take them off? I'm about to take a torch to it, heat them up and see if they come off. If that doesn't work, I'm just going to buy 3 new sensors....

There HAS to be a way to get these off...

Tomorrow I'm gonna go down and pick up a o2 sensor socket, then take my breaker bar to it.

i would just heat them up a bit before taking them off. i have never removed mine but metal to metal, heat expand, cool shrink, over and over again.....i would try heating the pipes just a tad to see what that would do.

I had the same problem with one of mine, it tore the threads right off it. I ended up buying a new one from GM, 125 bucks later.

Just make sure you use anti seize compound on the threads when you install them, so next time they will come out fairly easy.

I just sprayed some WD-40 on mine and they came out pretty easily, just used a wrench to take them off and had no problems. I would think that they would come out fairly easily after some heat and WD-40. Good luck with it, hopefully you can get them out soon.

I tried 3 in 1 oil and WD 40, no go. I then applied a LOT of heat to them. They finally came out yet with the threads stripped. =(

Looks like I need to buy 3 BOSCH 15824 o2 sensors. I picked one up at autozone, 99$. NAPA wanted 198$ Crazy.
