Default O2 sensor difference?

just wondering if the only difference in a 05 O2 sensor and a 06 is the conector ? I am looking to rplace my O2's but the 06 sensors are 106+ and the 05's are 50. Can I just cut and solder my conectors on to a pair of 05's?
