o2 keeps going out in water
#1
Twice in the past 4 months i have shorted out an o2 sensor after driving threw water. Any suggestions? Im not talking about alot of water, im talking about minimal water on the street. When i hit it, the truck starts idling rough dumping tons of fuel to the left bank. Thanks

have you checked your knock sensors...? If they get wet they will also throw codes. I have had similar issues when I detail the motor or I have been out puddle splashing and moisture gets in and sits on top of the knock sensors. The codes I usually get say that the bank 1 or bank 2 has low circut input or something like that if i remember right.
There is a "fix" out there to put a blob of rtv silicone on top of the sensors to basically make the water bead down them instead of letting it sit on top of them....... After you replace them.
