I would wait an get a 5.3...
I waited and waited until I could find a 5.3 with All the options in it... I wouldn't settle with a 4.8 or even manual windows and locks... screw that
If you look around, you can find the truck you are looking for. I wouldn't settle for the 4.8 from the get go, but that's just me.

I looked for trucks on Autotrader for probably 8 months before I found EXACTLY what I wanted. Actually, my wife found it by putting in a different search term. It was 2 hours away in Jacksonville, an '02 (newer style hasn't grown on me yet) ext cab, pewter, rhino liner sprayed in, 5.3, cloth interior, tow hitch & the chrome wheels....8200 miles on it & being sold by a private owner for 19,500.
The guy who bought it brand new had it for a year, barely drove it, and broke his neck surfing, so he was paralyzed from the neck down. I hate dealerships, so I called his wife & told her we'd be over with a check. It couldn't of went any smoother. Moral of the story is....make sure everything is exactly what you want...there will always be good deals out there.
