Default NOT your normal rocker tick

'06 2500, 6.0 ,150,000 ,stock -work truck

when it's on the interstate it starts to tick ( like a lifter bleeding down).
when you stop to check it out it acts like it pumps back up & quits ticking.
I assumed the only thing that would come & go would be a lifter problem.
16 lifters later, warming it up just after finnishing it & it starts again.
waited to make sure it just needed to bleed , it quits just like before.
If after warmed up hold it about 3000 for 30+- seconds it starts ticking,
shut it off (while it's still ticking) & by the time I start it up (after removing the VC) it quits to quickly ( or I get an oil bath LOL).

any ideas ???

I don't know. I am no tech so just throwing my guess out for ya.
i recently had some bad push rods. PRW sucks. It wore the end of the push rod down at the rocker. On a bunch of them.

What about the rocker on that cylinder? 150k on the clock, Im sure those needle bearings are ready to spit on you. Did you torque the arm properly? Maybe a preload problem?

yep torqued... & it comes in at constant 3000 ish & then goes away after rpm's are backed down for a time???

It acts like the lifter is bleeding down & pumps back up ???
