I've been searching on this and found that LQ4 2500HDs had the 34" radiator but never a year range. Was this true for 01? How is the 34" measure width or height?

Which amp Alternator did the 2500HD have?

Thanks,

The core is 34" wide (the aluminum fins between the plastic end tanks), and that's what you have. Perfect candidate for some 05 efans...honestly, on an HD, I wouldn't use anything smaller than the 05's (such as LS1's or LT1's). Plenty of guys have installed these fans with the factory 105 amp alt without any problems (tdrumm did for sure...), although, I *thought* that the 2500's came with 145amp alternators...you should be able to tell by looking at it, here's a shot of my 145amp alt, notice the black ring in between the two case halves:

Here's my old 105amp alt, notice that there's no black ring...I believe that this difference should distinguish between the two...

Thanks for the replies and the pics. I'll look at the alternator on my truck, I'd rather get a pulley with the harness if it is the 105.

One more question. I was reading the topic linked below:

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=432250

It looks like Blackbear only offers the 2 pin harness for the 03+. Do they or anyone else offer a 2 pin for the '01s?

The 2 pin will work on your 01 if you have the second pin activated in the tune.

EFI Live will easily do it.

HPTuners will require you to email them your tune so they can patch it. (a future update should allow us to do it ourselves)
