im thinkin alot of header wrap too.

Uncoated headers last a long time...I've seen 30 year old sets before. If you live in the rust belt I'd stay away from header wrap, tends to rust out headers. Later

Not really. Rust belt is about anything North of Missouri/Kansas/Nebraska/Iowa/etc that gets decent amounts of snow in winter. They use chemical salt to help clear the roads of snow/ice, which makes the cars rust like a Texan could never believe!

if you use a set of un-coated/painted headers, could they later on be coated?

Yes, after a trip through a media blaster to remove any rust/scale that may have built up.

If you're gonna use 'em then coat later, I'd blast the rust off first.

I would spend the extra on coated headers. They will not rust easily, look better, and reduce under hood temps.
