Default No forward gears in a 4L80E

Hi,

Was checking the engine mounts by putting the vehicle in drive and raising the engine rpm's with brakes applied, then I heard a strange noise followed by no forward gears. Reverse still works, any ideas of what the problem might be? The vehicle is a 1999, 3/4 ton, with 6.0 liter and has 77000 miles.
Thanks

update:

I took of the transmission, and noticed that the flywheel had a crack in a complete circle around the bolts that hold it on to the crankshaft. I then started to disassemble the transmission and found the area where the hub of the torque converter drives the pump had a big crack in the shape of a Y , didn,t find anything else wrong with the tranny. Cluthes seemed to be in good shape. So I guess the only things I will need is a flywheel, new pump assembly and a couple gaskets.

Might have something to do with the 2600hd converter, transgo shift kit set at firm shifts and hypertech programmed for firmer shifts.

Yeah, that could have been the problem. I don't think you're supposed to use the HPP3 firmer trans shift settings with a shift kit installed.

I bet that thing shifted pretty hard.
