Default No cats smell?

So the plan, as of right now, is to get the LPP longtubes bolted up over the weekend. But theres something thats been buggin me. Does it really smell that bad without cats? My only experience with a truck with longtubes and no cats has been with my uncle and he had an old Pickup with a 454 that would make your eyes watery. I've never heard anyone on here complaining about it? Since I live in California it being too smelly is a problem. So is it that bad as some people have been making it out to be?

Also what an I expect my exhaust to sound like with the new longtubes at idle? WOT? Overall?

Been goin crazy thinking about this so any help will be appreciated. Thanks guys.

it's obvious to me when I smell a car/truck with no cats, i can smell it 100' away and that's no exaggeration.

what's weird is that a car/truck i can smell that distintive smell but a bike I can't.....weird.

it depends on what you think 'smells bad'...what to some people is the best smell, others may hate it. I happen to love the smell so it was not a problem for me.

the problem is that the OP is in CA and the smell is obvious. Not a good thing if you get pulled over by the 'right' cop. I like the smell too, reminds me of my childhood....yes, before when cats were house pets and didn't travel well

I dont really notice mine too much. It was a lot more noticeable before the tune.

Are you guys talking about a "raw fuel" odor? Seems like if the tune was right, that it shouldn't be very noticeable. Or is the odor some other type?
