Default No cats and magnaflow muffler

My plan is to take my current setup no cats Y pipe and flowmaster 40 series and take and cut the Y pipe out and run dual pipes back to a dual in dual out magnaflow wich is an X chember muffler . Does that sound like a good setup and do yall think that it will sound good? Anyone running this setup? Also do yall think I should go with the 2.5" or 3"

Im fimilair with that setup buddy of mine has it on his truck and it sounds pretty tough! One thing tough, I really dont know if that helps in performance gains. All I know is that you'll have the true duals,so it should help. Maybe someone who knows for sure will chime in. But I' think you'll like it! Go with the 3in! 2.5in is just like stock!

go 2.5 inch. 3 inch is too big on a true duel setup....unless your pushing some serous HP.

Yea, go with 2.5 inch. The magnaflows have a different sound compared to the flowmasters in my opinion. I prefer the magnaflows, but I guess its whatever you like

I unintentionally ran Magnaflows with no catalytic converters after mine burned and blew out. It was feloniously loud and way too raspy. Driving was pretty annoying until I replaced the cats.

I just did PaceSetter LT's,removed cats, replaced all tubing with 2.5" mandrel all the way around, and a Magnaflow dual in/dual out single Stainless (5x11 22" internal x-pipe) muffler and there is no rasp AT ALL. I picked up some real nice gains(was running stock exhaust except single muffler Flowmaster catback) and it sounds healthy and is pretty damn loud. I went with the biggest muffler(quieter) and it sets car alarms off at idle so I couldnt imagine the 4x9 or even the 5x9 with my setup.
