nitrous and shiftpoints
#1
i heard that u have to lower your shiftpoints when ur running nitrous. this is really the only thing holding me back from getting it. i want to drive around normal with my shiftpoints how they are. i dont want to have my truck restricted when im not using the nitrous. y is it that u have to lower them?

I kept ma same shift points, but I did raise the rev limiter. With ntrous, you may go a litte past the shift point rpms before the shift happens. By raising the rev limiter, you don't have to worry about hitting it before your shift.
I shift in the 6000-6200 range on nitrous.
I shift in the 6000-6200 range on nitrous.

do you have a programmer right now? i just raised my shift points +2 1-2 and +6 2-3 when on spray. also raised limiter to 6200. if you dont have a programmer then the stock shifts points should work fine.

some programmers, LS1Edit and I think the diablo programmer allow you to edit regular shift points and tow/haul shift points.. Set up the regular shift points for every day fun driving and then set up the tow/haul shift points for when you are on the juice
