I guess the temps hurt some. Previous best was 14.409, removed back seat and spare tire and did the TB bypass. The weight reduction killed my traction on the street, but the truck hooked really well at the track (2.17 60'). Temps were around 80 with high humidity. Maybe the weight reduction was only worth .06, but was hoping for more (of course). Go ahead and laugh at my R/T, used to the amber "1,2,3,green", TRP was using the instant green (no ambers at all) and I was "lost".

So goshawk23, I got ya (you still have almost 2mph on me though).

hey it's me goshawk, problem with computer needed new name. no problem on the time. but just so you know, things are changing as of sat night. i plan on moving up quite a few spots.

I'll let you guys know. Also, let me know when you have a meet and greet or something. I may not be back out until I get some headers put on this thing. Man, I want some bad.

I can't break over 93mph as of yet. I see that you guys have. I wonder if the 1 more mph in the 1/4 mile has to do with the cat-back system.
My 1/4 seems to be right there with you guys though.
Jim
I believe it would. I picked up 8 rwhp and something like 25 rwtq by replacing the muffler. My truck is still pulling hard when I cross the traps.

Who makes the Xcelerator exhaust? I've never heard of it.
If the Xcelerator cat back exhaust system will bolt up to the 2 factory exhaust flanges with no mods, then I will consider it. No fabricating will be done on this truck. I only want a mendral bent cat-back system. Is the Xcelerator system all mendral bent?
If you or someone has any pics of the system installed I would like to see it.
I havent heard of anyone making a direct bolt on cat back system for the VHO's that doesn't need to be modified.
Maybe the exhaust will help out my MPH in the 1/4.

The Xcelerator exhaust is made by Goehrlich (sp?). I went with it because a friend with a VHO was a guinea pig for me Really like the way it sounds and little if any resonance at 80mph on the interstate. Also, this exhaust has a lifetime warranty. Was looking at Flowmaster, but the owner of the muffler shop (who I know personally) recommended Xcelerator over the FM's because of better flow, quieter and better warranty even though he would make more money from the FM sale. This is not a catback system, just replaced stock muffler with new one (dual in/dual out) and two new tails. They did have to place new hangers for the tail pipes. Yes your 1/4 mile times are right there with mine, except FASTER! Maybe the e-fans give the edge.

fastazztruck-what EXACTLY are you changing? I have a feeling my "I got you" comment will have to be retracted!

With the traction problems I have now, there will have to be some major mods done to plant power with a SC. But I am studying the idea. Think a Radix would put me in the 12's (if it ever hooks up)? That is with the appropriate tranny mods.

just adding headers, new exhaust and some spray. lol. still, for the mods done to your truck, you are running nice times. pretty soon you'll be in the 13's with minimum effort.
