I plan on doing this when I order my ram air hood for my truck. I plan on getting hold of a WS6 f-body air lid and K&N filter and mounting it on top of the fan shroud so the holes I cut out in my ram air hood ram the air right into my f-body intake set-up. There sould be enough room for the lid because the ram air hood will be raised up in the under side giving it just enough clearance. Has anyone else tried this? Good idea?? I already have the K&N FIPK but after I get the new hood I think it will give my truck a more muscle look when people look in the engine bay and see a WS6 f body intake system!!

 

yeah i think that would work and look pretty sweet too.

 

why dont get a hood that has the set already for the fipk?

i noticed it on my stang and my truck especially on top end
but that is my experience

 

I have the keystone restyling ws6 type ram air hood on my truck. If you do the cut out on it it will dump the air right on top of your airbox. They offer the air raid as their ram air box. p.s its cheaper to buy the air raid seperately vs with the hood its a gimmick you pay extra to pay keystone if you buy it thru them. but with that set up I noticed a lil pickup on the top end.
