Default New track time

I went to the track tonight and ran my truck. Real nice night. I ran a 15.0 @ 104.9 fryin the tires threw first. I was pretty pissed. My fastest run before was a 14.9 @ 93.71. Im going to try to go back Saturday and im going to run some stocks, because I was running on my 20's tonight. I would get some drag raidals but I have a little girl to spoil for Christmas.

It's got to be a typo..

Unless you are running nitrous or a supercharger/turbo there is no way in hell you trapped 104mph, especially with a 76mph 1/8th mile.

Remmeber that electronics glitch sometimes. I've seen stock LS1 cars hit 1.2 60's before or run 10.20s.... If that's not a glitch I don't know what is. This was at Sac too bro. I think too many people crashing into the timers messes things up. Hahahaha

IMO, if you can't back up a time to within 2 10ths or 1mph then there was a glitch and it shouldn't be counted.

How many runs you get last night? I figured it was gonna be crowed as hell.

It's cool man. A lot of people new to drag racing get this kind of response to such an incredulous time.

What makes it cool is I have been racing at Sac Raceway since 95' and have seen a lot of fluke times thrown up on the score board so I know you were not lying just to try and look good.

I've even had a couple friends come up to me all excited thinking their car magically went from running 105mph to 118mph. LOL

I'm gonna tell Scott his fast run was a fluke. LOL

I guess it could be a fluke. But all my slips were saying 101+. My very first run of the night was a 15.3 @ 98. After that i was running 15.0s for the rest of the night. There was another 4.8 out there running around the same times and speed as i was too. He ran 14.8 @ 105. Who knows. I guess everyones mph was fucked lastnight then. I was pissed last night anyways. I couldnt hook for ****. Im going to try to go back Saturday with differant tires and see what happens.

Yeah, no way in hell is a bolt-on 4.8L gonna trap that high without nitrous. You would need a large cam and most likely heads to do something like that.

Now the weird thing is Jim was trapping his normal speeds and you guys were at the same track.. What lane did you run in? Meaning was it only the left lane or right, or did you get runs in each lane?

Sometimes they have one lane get FUBARd.

Like I said, I trust you bro. Just not the timeclock because you shouldn't be that fast with just a couple bolt-ons
