under stalled yes, its supposed to be a 2800 but this is the 3rd time they have fixed it lol ahaa, shift points are at 6600 and they drop back to 4700, 60' are 195 no matter what i leave at 1k,800,1200,1500, it allways flashes to 2200, once i get up to see allen the shift points will be at 7200 1-2 and 7200 2-3 and stay with the 5800 3-4 it gets to the 6850 rev limiter so fast i have a hard time shifting it before there lol, i will be calling vig on tuesday to see what were going to do.

Shifting that high might be beneficial with the current stall converter being used but, once you bump up the stall rpm you can bring the shift points back down. Reason being, a higher stall converter will allow you to stay in a more appropriate rpm range where you are making more average hp.

Say you bump the shift rpm up to 7200 with a higher stall converter that drops down 1500 rpm instead of the current stall that drops down 1900 rpm.

You drop down 1500 rpm from 7200 shift point and now your at 5700 rpm. Well, you more than likely would make more average power shifting at 6700 and dropping down 1500 rpm to 5200.

Think about a dyno curve. Where is the most power being made. Usually 5000-6500 rpm.

Anyways... Nice times. I'd really like to see what happens once you get a good stall in there.

Which stall is it? I am thinking of getting the vig2800 stall with #0 pump. Would that be too tight for a 4.8l?

not at all.
I had the vig 2800 in mine...
had to bump up to a 3500 tho for the cam..
the 2800 is VERY streetable, and I pulled a best of 1.9X 60ft's with that stall, and a few other things..
flash stall was up to 2800, and I could foot stall it up to 2200 before the wheels let go..
just to give you an idea of what it will handle like..

WELL YOU MAY BE WASTING YOUR TIME SHIFTING THAT HIGH,I HAVE BEEN ALL THE WAY TO 7400 IT IS NOT WORTH IT 7000 IS THE SWEET SPOT.YOU WILL GO IN TO VALVE FLOAT.UNLESS YOU HAVE A BUILD MOTOR WITH DIFFERENT LIFTERS.
I LOVE MY STALL I HAD A 10.5" PTC NOW I HAVE A 10" PTC IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE I RUN IN THE 1.6 60' WITH 4.56 GEARS AND SHIFTING @ 6800 OR 6900 I SHIFT ON A 6600 SHIFT LIGHT.THE PCM IS PROGRAMMED TO SHIFT AT 6400 RIGHT NOW.
